Disney’s Art of Animation: An In-Depth Review - Michaela Mertz

With so many different themes, accommodations, and prices, narrowing down which Disney World Resort Hotel is right for you and your family can feel like a massive decision. Whether or not you’re considering staying at Art of Animation, hopefully this honest review is helpful as you plan your upcoming vacation.

Theming

Art of Animation showcases massive sketches of beloved Disney characters from Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, Cars, and The Lion King. The main lobby has even more incredible concept art on display and pop covers of Disney classics play over the speakers. Each section of the hotel is themed after one of the previously mentioned films. Walking out of the lobby towards the main pool, guests find themselves face-to-face with larger-than-life character structures from Finding Nemo. Even the rooms are themed to their designated films, making guests feel like they’ve stepped into their favorite animations.

Rooms

Family suites make up the bulk of the rooms offered at Art of Animation. If you’re traveling with a large party and traveling on a budget, this is definitely the option for you. However, if your party is four or smaller, you will be staying in The Little Mermaid portion of the resort hotel. These rooms are adorable with furniture and decor specific to the film.
